Several organisations in Mahiliou Region overstated the volume of recyclable materials they had collected. The State Control Committee ordered them to repay 25,000 Belarusian roubles they had received from the Operator of Secondary Material Resources.
According to the State Control Committee, an inspection found that a number of housing and utilities organisations and consumer cooperatives in Mahiliou Region submitted inflated and undocumented claims to the operator for reimbursement of collected recyclable materials, including paper, glass, polymers and other materials. As a result of the inflated reporting, they received an additional 25,000 Belarusian roubles in compensation.
Following the inspection, the organisations returned the improperly obtained funds to the operator.
