The international organisation Reporters Without Borders has expressed concern over the condition of Belarusian journalist Kiryl Pazniak, who has been transferred to a prison hospital.
“RSF is deeply concerned about the health condition of journalist Kiryl Pazniak, who was hospitalised in serious condition after more than eight months of detention. The authorities must immediately ensure he has access to adequate medical care and end the repression of journalists”, the organisation said in a statement.
It should be recalled that it became known last week that imprisoned journalist Kiryl Pazniak fell ill on the way to court. He was hospitalised. Eight months ago, Pazniak suffered from pneumonia and COVID-19. According to the journalist’s former wife, he had lost consciousness several times recently. His lungs may be in poor condition.
