A 21-year-old resident of Ivatsevichy District will face charges of hooliganism. The suspect has been remanded in custody.
According to investigators, in August this year, the young man was driving a passenger car along the R6 Ivatsevichy-Pinsk-Stolin road. Near the village of Kraglevichy in Ivatsevichy District, he lowered the passenger-side window and fired several shots from an air pistol at an unfamiliar 53-year-old man riding a bicycle.
The victim contacted the police. The shooter was identified and detained.
The suspect said he had purchased the air pistol and its components from an online store and had fired at the stranger for amusement.
It is noted that the decision to remand the young man in custody was also made because he is already a defendant in a theft case.
