EEC Grants Belarus Duty-Free Meat Import Quota

The Eurasian Economic Commission has allocated tariff quotas for imports of certain types of meat and dairy products for 2027.

Next year, Belarus will be able to import duty-free:

  • 20,000 tonnes of pork,
  • 10,900 tonnes of poultry meat and by-products.

Belarus was not allocated a tariff quota for imports of beef or whey.

Beef may also be imported by Armenia (8,000 tonnes), Kazakhstan (21,000 tonnes), Kyrgyzstan (5,000 tonnes) and Russia (570,000 tonnes).

In addition to Belarus, Armenia (14,000 tonnes) and Kyrgyzstan (2,000 tonnes) will be able to import pork duty-free.

The quotas for poultry imports allocated to the other EAEU countries are as follows: 45,000 tonnes for Armenia, 140,000 tonnes for Kazakhstan, 58,000 tonnes for Kyrgyzstan and 364,000 tonnes for Russia.

Russia will also be able to import 15,000 tonnes of whey.
