Homiel Customs Intercepts Another Shipment of Goods From Russia

Belarusian customs officials continue to prevent the import of goods from Russia. The goods had entered the Eurasian Economic Union in violation of customs procedures.

According to the State Customs Committee, customs officials this time stopped a truck heading to Homiel. The vehicle was carrying 21,000 items without documents, including documents confirming their customs clearance upon entry into the Eurasian Economic Union.

“The total value of the illegally transported shipment exceeded 540,000 Belarusian rubles. Homiel Customs has initiated administrative proceedings against the individual entrepreneur under Article 13.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus,” the State Customs Committee said.
