Political prisoner and journalist Kiryl Pazniak has been admitted to a prison hospital. This was reported by the Belarusian Association of Journalists, citing the former wife of the political prisoner.
Pazniak reportedly became unwell in a vehicle transporting him and his daughter Yanina Pazniak to a court hearing. He was hospitalised. Eight months ago, Pazniak suffered from pneumonia and COVID-19. According to the journalist’s former wife, he has lost consciousness several times recently. His lungs may be in poor condition.
Kiryl and Yanina Pazniak were detained in September 2025. They are accused under articles related to creating an extremist formation and discrediting Belarus. The journalist’s YouTube channel “Platforma 375” was designated an “extremist formation”.
