First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government Denis Manturov expects the Osvey aircraft prototype to make its first flight in 2027. He made the statement in Minsk after a meeting with Aliaksandr Lukashenka.
“We are currently proceeding according to the schedule that has been adjusted. Next year, we will receive a prototype that will begin flight testing. We expect to complete certification by the end of 2029, and for this aircraft to enter the market in Belarus and Russia. We also expect to supply it to third countries,” he said, according to BelTA.
Initially, the prototype was expected to make its first flight in 2026.
Manturov also noted that Belarusian enterprises are already involved in the production of Russian aircraft, in particular manufacturing components, while painting is carried out in Minsk.
Meeting with Manturov today, Lukashenka proposed discussing certain “misunderstandings” in the Osvey project.
