Fifth-generation mobile communication services have become available to roaming partners of Belarusian mobile operator MTS.
According to the telecommunications company’s press service, 5G services are now available to subscribers of the Russian operators MTS and Beeline. The launch for roaming partners from other countries is being prepared.
High-speed 5G mobile internet is available to roaming users through the same base stations that serve domestic subscribers. More than 1,100 fifth-generation base stations are currently operating in Minsk, Brest, Vitsyebsk, Homiel and Mahiliou. A launch is also being prepared in Hrodna.
Belarusian MTS subscribers gained access to 5G internet at the beginning of April.
