Capital police have solved the theft of 18 artificial Christmas trees from a shopping center. A representative of one of the pavilions filed a report about the theft. The store was not equipped with an alarm system and was not closed at night. As a result, the New Year trees disappeared.
It was established that the suspect had been stealing artificial fir trees for a month, covering them with a blanket and transporting them on a grocery cart to a utility room, after which he resold them. The money he received was spent on personal needs.
A criminal case has been opened. The damage amounted to more than 10,800 rubles. The trees that the suspect had not yet sold have been returned to the business owner.
