A child was struck by a minibus in Mahiliou, the regional police department reported.
The incident occurred today at around 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Krupskaya and Turova streets. A 52-year-old minibus driver hit a nine-year-old schoolgirl who was crossing the roadway at a signal-controlled pedestrian crossing. The girl was hospitalized with injuries.
Traffic police officers worked at the scene and the circumstances are being established.
