The Prosecutor’s Office of Minsk’s Partizanski District has referred a criminal case against a 42-year-old Minsk resident to court, Minsk-Novosti reported.
The man is accused of insulting Aliaksandr Lukashenka and members of the Council of the Republic. According to investigators, he posted comments in various Telegram chats between August and December 2021.
He explained his actions by saying that at the time he was experiencing negative emotions that arose after reading critical publications and comments.
