On February 23, Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed a decree “On Discharge to the Reserve and Conscription for Compulsory Military Service and Reserve Service,” his press service reported.
The decree provides for the conscription in March–May 2026 for compulsory military service and reserve service of male citizens of Belarus who have reached the age of 18 by the day of conscription and who do not have the right to a deferment, as well as citizens of conscription age who have lost the right to a deferment.
The same decree also provides for the discharge to the reserve of conscripts who have completed the established terms of military service.
