The KGB has detained Lithuanian citizen Miroslavas Trotskis in Belarus. It is claimed that Trotskis was an agent of Lithuanian intelligence services with the codename “Ringo.”
State television channel ONT described Trotskis as a former Lithuanian security officer. He allegedly traveled to Belarus under the pretext of restoring his father’s house, collected information about strategic and military facilities, and stayed with relatives for cover purposes.
It is claimed that Trotskis had been under surveillance by Belarusian counterintelligence from the moment he entered Belarus.
The video released by state media shows the moment of Trotskis’s detention on a road and a fragment of an interrogation in which the man apologizes for having “caused harm.”
