Belarus has reduced the fee charged for applications for a special permit allowing foreigners to engage in employment, as well as for extensions of such permits. A resolution of the Interior Ministry No. 193 of July 10, which takes effect upon publication, was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal.

The document amends the regulations governing administrative procedure 15.4.1, “Obtaining a special permit to engage in employment in the Republic of Belarus,” which applies to business entities.

Previously, a state fee of five basic units was charged for the procedure. Under the new Interior Ministry resolution, the fee is two basic units.

Changes have also been made to the regulations governing procedure 15.4.2, “One-time extension of the validity period of a special permit to engage in employment in the Republic of Belarus,” which also applies to business entities.

In this case, the state fee has been reduced from three basic units to one basic unit.

In addition, the regulations for both procedures now allow documents and information to be submitted electronically through the unified electronic services portal.
