Latvia To Ban Imports of Certain Goods From Belarus From September

Latvia will ban the import of a number of goods from Belarus and Russia starting Sept. 1. The Latvian government made the decision on Aug. 25, Delfi reports.

The proposal to ban imports was approved by the Saeima in late July. The government set the exact date today.

The ban will cover books and other printed materials, clothing, certain textile products, footwear, headwear, toys and sporting goods. The ban will apply to Belarusian and Russian goods imported from third countries as well.
