The Belarusian Investigative Committee has launched special proceedings against 48-year-old Andrei Susha. He has been instructed to appear at the Investigative Committee’s Leninski District office in Minsk.
He is charged under Part 1 of Article 368 (insulting Aliaksandr Lukashenka), Article 369 (insulting a public official), Part 1 of Article 371 (illegal border crossing), Article 391 (insulting a judge), Parts 1 and 2 of Article 361-4 (facilitating extremist activity), Part 1 of Article 366 (violence or threats against a public official), Article 364 (violence or threats of violence against a law enforcement officer), and Part 3 of Article 361-1 (creating or participating in an extremist formation) of the Criminal Code of Belarus.
Andrei Susha is known for fleeing Belarus to Lithuania on a powered paraglider in 2021 to escape repression.
