Human rights defenders have updated information on those detained in the so-called “Hajun case.” As reported by the Vyasna Human Rights Center, at least 127 confirmed defendants in the case have been placed in custody. Human rights defenders have received information about three additional individuals. The total number of people involved in the case is higher.
At the same time, amid ongoing detentions, court hearings have already begun for defendants in the case. People who transmitted information to the Belarusian Hajun project are being sentenced to penalties including restriction of liberty and imprisonment.
Belarusian Hajun is a monitoring OSINT project that tracks the military activity of Russian and Belarusian forces. The monitoring group was created before the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war by activist Anton Matolka. In early February 2025, security forces gained access to a chat with the project’s bot. After that, the project announced the termination of its work.
