Health Ministry Explains How Medical Institutions Will Operate During Holidays

The Health Ministry has published the operating schedule for healthcare institutions during the upcoming holidays at the end of April and beginning of May.

Outpatient clinics, polyclinics, outpatient departments of hospitals and national research and practical centres, blood service organisations, sanitary and epidemiological organisations, pharmacies, medical equipment organisations and special-type organisations will operate according to the following schedule:

  • April 20 — according to a Saturday schedule;
  • April 21 — according to a public holiday schedule;
  • April 25 — according to a regular working day schedule;
  • May 1 — according to a public holiday schedule;
  • May 9 — according to a state holiday schedule.

Hospitals and national research and practical centres will operate as follows:

  • April 20 — according to a regular working day schedule;
  • April 21 — according to a public holiday schedule;
  • April 25 — according to a Saturday schedule;
  • May 1 — according to a public holiday schedule;
  • May 9 — according to a state holiday schedule.

“Despite the approaching holiday weekends, continuity of treatment in the provision of medical care to the population will be ensured throughout the country. Traditionally, emergency medical services operate in a state of heightened readiness during such days,” the ministry said.
