Belarus has renewed the composition of the Council for Entrepreneurship Development. The corresponding resolution was signed today by Prime Minister Alyaksandr Turchyn.
Turchyn will head the Council. Previously, the post was held by First Deputy Prime Minister Mikalay Snapkow. The Council now includes 26 members — successful heads of private manufacturing businesses representing various sectors and regions.
“The organisations they lead were built from scratch and have travelled the path from an idea to an efficiently functioning enterprise. Some of them are winners of the national ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ competition in the category ‘Efficient Business’,” the government press service reported.
According to the government, the practical management experience of the Council’s members will allow them to promptly identify pressing issues facing the business community, assess their consequences and propose possible solutions.
Since October this year, under a decree by Alyaksandr Lukashenka, the composition of the Council must be personally approved by him. The list of the new members has not yet been published.
