Four drones carrying cigarettes crossed from Belarus into Lithuania during the night of July 2–3, the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service reported.
Lithuanian border guards spotted the four unmanned aerial vehicles about one kilometre from the border near the village of Jaskonys, close to Druskininkai. All four drones were forced to land.
Packages containing Belarusian cigarettes were found at the landing sites. In total, officers seized 4,998 packs of cigarettes. Their value is estimated at more than €27,500.
