The National Legal Internet Portal today published decisions by the Homiel and Vitsyebsk regional executive committees establishing the 2026 harvesting dates for cranberries and lingonberries. As a result, the permitted berry-picking dates have now been announced for all regions of Belarus.
In 2026, berries may be harvested:
- in the Vitsyebsk Region, lingonberries from Aug. 15 and cranberries from Sept. 14,
- in the Homiel Region, lingonberries from Aug. 12 and cranberries from Sept. 10,
- in the Minsk Region, lingonberries from Aug. 14 and cranberries from Sept. 8,
- in the Mahiliou Region, lingonberries from Aug. 14 and cranberries from Sept. 12,
- in the Hrodna Region, lingonberries from Aug. 14 and cranberries from Sept. 12,
- in the Brest Region, lingonberries from Aug. 12 and cranberries from Sept. 10.
Harvesting berries in prohibited areas or before the officially established dates is punishable under Part 2 of Article 16.19 of Belarus’ Code of Administrative Offenses. Violators face a fine of up to 20 base units.
