JSC KB Radar is completing production of a batch of Rodnik-3D three-coordinate radar stations for detecting low-altitude aerial targets, the State Authority for Military Industry said.
According to the agency, the radar system was developed taking into account the experience of modern armed conflicts. It is designed to detect low-altitude, small-sized targets, including drones operating under radio silence. The detection range is up to 7 km for multirotor drones and up to 20 km for fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles. The system is also capable of tracking targets flying at medium and high altitudes.
“The Rodnik-3D can be used as part of integrated protection systems for critical infrastructure facilities and important state sites, as well as to cover areas with insufficient low-altitude radar coverage. It is particularly effective when operating within a unified system alongside electronic warfare assets, as the station enhances their ability to counter UAVs flying under radio silence,” the State Authority for Military Industry added.
