Carriers expect that bus services between Minsk and Vilnius will resume on 21 November.
Minsktrans announced that it plans to restart bus routes to Vilnius, Kaunas, and Riga on 21 November.
Eurolines has begun selling tickets for buses starting on 21 November.
Lithuania closed its border checkpoints with Belarus until 30 November due to weather balloons crossing from Belarus, which disrupted airport operations. In response, Belarus banned the exit of Lithuanian trucks. The vehicles were moved to designated paid parking areas. Today, Lithuanian and Belarusian border officials held technical talks. Lithuania’s National Security Commission recommended that the government discuss the reopening of border checkpoints with Belarus at its 19 November meeting.
