Belarusian graphic artist and designer Ihar Nazaranka has been named one of the finalists of the Seoul International AI Film Festival (SIAFF), which is taking place in the South Korean capital from June 28 to 30.

Nazaranka reached the finals with his video Every Doggy App. The work blends advertising and animation and is dedicated to a mobile application for dog owners. Through a series of AI-generated visuals, the author offers practical advice on how to help pets feel less anxious, create a safe space for them, and build trust through massage and a consistent daily routine.

All visual elements, motion, and animation were generated using artificial intelligence tools. The author treated generative AI as a full-fledged creative collaborator, exploring new possibilities for digital visual language and testing the boundary between human creativity and machine-generated content.

Ihar Nazaranka is well known in the Belarusian cultural community as a designer of music albums. His portfolio includes cover artwork for more than 50 albums by prominent Belarusian musicians. Among the artists he has collaborated with are Nizkiz, J:Мors, Liavon Volski, Krambambulya, and others.

The artist’s current experiments with AI-generated video are a natural continuation of his creative journey from graphic design to digital media. His work with neural networks has attracted attention before: one of his earlier AI projects, which brought famous street murals to life through animation, was featured on the social media channels of BBC Merseyside, including a video of an animated mural depicting Ringo Starr in Liverpool.

“Artificial intelligence is becoming a new tool in the hands of artists, just as photography, computer graphics, and digital design once completely transformed our understanding of how art is created,” the designer said.

The Seoul International AI Film Festival (SIAFF) is a young South Korean independent festival founded amid the rapid development of generative art. This year marks its fifth edition. Projects are submitted through the international FilmFreeway platform, allowing digital artists and filmmakers from around the world to participate. The festival aims to provide a networking space for creators and technology specialists experimenting with AI tools in filmmaking, animation, and video art. Festival events are traditionally held in contemporary creative and cultural venues across Seoul.
