Broad money supply grew by just 0.4%, or 426.1 million rubles, in July, reaching 112.43 billion rubles. By comparison, money supply increased by 4.8% in June.
Since the beginning of the year, broad money supply has increased by 9.1%, or almost 9.4 billion rubles.
According to the National Bank, as of August 1, the volume of cash in circulation stood at 17.44 billion rubles. It increased by 610.3 million rubles over the month and by 2.95 billion rubles since the beginning of the year.
In July, monetary aggregate M1, including transferable deposits, increased by 114.2 million rubles to 40.19 billion rubles.
Money supply under the national definition increased by 574.6 million rubles to 73.28 billion rubles.
The ruble money supply increased by 335.2 million rubles to 76.7 billion rubles.
Foreign-currency deposits increased by $31.8 million in July to $12.1 billion. Deposits held by individuals fell by $46.6 million to $4.97 billion, while deposits held by legal entities increased by $78.4 million to $7.13 billion.
