Residents of Vitebsk Region reported hearing a sound resembling the hum of a passing drone on the night of August 14, Flagstok noted.
According to social media users, the distinctive sound was heard from about 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. in Vitsyebsk, Syanno, Bieshenkovichy and other localities in the eastern part of Vitsyebsk Region.
Residents of Staryya Darohi and Babruysk also reported the passage of a drone with a gasoline engine, “like a moped.” The exact time of the possible flight over these areas is unknown.
That night, more than 50 Ukrainian drones attacked Russia’s Leningrad Region. The attack caused a fire near the port of Ust-Luga. In addition, one of the drones entered Latvian territory and was shot down by NATO fighter jets.
Earlier, Flagstok noted that reports of drones entering Belarus had been virtually absent over the past month. Ukrainian monitoring channels also did not report any violations of Belarusian airspace by Russian drones.
“The only possible incursion could have occurred at around 4 a.m. on August 14, when a drone was moving toward Belarus through the Chernobyl zone in Ukraine,” the outlet noted.
