The Belarusian Council of Ministers has adopted a resolution simplifying the process of obtaining driving licences for foreigners.
According to the government press service, the requirement to pass a theoretical qualification exam will be replaced with a practical qualification exam for people applying for a Belarusian driving licence on the basis of a licence issued by a foreign country.
“This procedure is intended to simplify the process of obtaining a driving licence for foreign citizens permanently residing in the Republic of Belarus who understand spoken Russian but experience difficulties in understanding specialised road safety terminology,” the Council of Ministers said.
