On 7-8 April, an apartment belonging to former Pinsk judge Aliaksei Patsko was sold at auction on the second attempt. In 2020, he refused to hand down sentences to protesters, reports Brest Viasna.
Two buyers competed for the two-room apartment with an area of 59.3 square metres. The winner placed a bid of 110,040 rubles. The first auction took place in February, but there were no buyers at that time.
Patsko does not know why his apartment was put up for auction. He purchased it with a loan and had been making regular payments.
In August 2020, Patsko was working as a judge in Pinsk. He refused to issue politically motivated sentences against protesters. In October 2020, he was dismissed from his position. In 2021, Patsko left Belarus.
