Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya for her solidarity and stated that Belarus must not be drawn even deeper into the war.
Tsikhanouskaya reacted on the social network X to Russia’s strike on a residential high-rise building in Kyiv, which, according to the latest data, killed at least seven people.
“Russia has once again shown that it is not seeking peace: missiles, drones, destroyed homes and civilians buried under rubble in Kyiv. Ukraine is defending all of Europe from terror and aggression. It needs more support, stronger air defence and continued pressure on Russia,” she wrote.
In response, Zelenskyy thanked the leader of the Belarusian democratic forces for her support.
“Thank you for your support! Solidarity matters. It is important that people in Belarus hear us and do not allow Belarus to be drawn even further into this Russian war, which threatens all the peoples of the region,” Zelenskyy wrote.
