The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade has signed an agreement on socially responsible conduct with three taxi dispatch services — Yandex Go, A1 Taxi and Taxi 152 — which together account for more than 90% of the market.
Under the document, during periods of increased demand — such as extreme weather conditions or major international events — the dispatch services undertake not to raise the cost of their services, to encourage drivers to put more vehicles on the road, and to limit the surge pricing coefficient for passengers to no more than 3.
The agreement is open for other taxi dispatch services to join, the ministry’s press service said.
