Stele “To the Pioneers of Belarusian Oil” Added to Belarusian List of Historical and Cultural Values

The commemorative stele with the mosaic panel “To the Pioneers of Belarusian Oil,” located in the Rechytsa District, has been included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of Belarus. The corresponding decision was adopted by the Ministry of Culture of Belarus, the Homyel Regional Executive Committee reported.

The memorial object is installed near Well No. 8, where industrial oil extraction began on the territory of Belarus. Next to the stele is a commemorative marker dedicated to the extraction of the 100-millionth ton of oil.
