On April 2, the Museum of Free Belarus will host a meeting with artist Rufina Bazlova, the creator of the well-known “vyzhyvankas”.
During the workshop, the artist will speak about her artistic practice and the #FramedinBelarus project, in which the stories of Belarusian political prisoners are translated into the language of ornament. Participants will be able to try embroidery themselves, learn how to “read” these images and join a collective practice of solidarity.

Rufina Bazlova’s “vyzhyvankas” have received international recognition and have become one of the visual symbols of modern Belarus — representing freedom, resistance and humanity.
Entry is by donation: 50 zlotys (all materials are included in the price).
Registration is available here.
