Forecasters have issued a storm warning with an orange level of weather danger for Friday.
“During the day on June 12 (Friday), a sharp change in weather conditions is expected in the central regions of the country, with temperatures dropping. Maximum air temperatures will range from +14°C to +19°C, and from +14°C to +16°C in Minsk,” the statement said.
Weather conditions on Friday will be influenced by an atmospheric front, followed by the arrival of a cooler air mass from northwestern Europe. Skies will be mostly cloudy with some clear intervals. Periodic rain is expected, with heavy rain possible in some areas during the day. Thunderstorms are forecast in isolated districts. Light fog is possible in some areas overnight and in the morning. Northwesterly winds will be moderate, becoming gusty during thunderstorms.
Minimum overnight temperatures will range from +6°C in western areas to +17°C in eastern regions. Daytime highs will reach +14°C to +20°C, while eastern districts can expect temperatures of +21°C to +27°C.
