One person was killed and four others were injured in a road traffic accident involving a passenger minibus in the Shumilina District of the Vitsyebsk Region. The crash occurred at about 1 p.m. today on the sixth kilometer of the H-3950 Obal–Polatsk road.
A 35-year-old man driving a Volkswagen minibus crossed into the oncoming lane, where it collided with an approaching Renault.
A 57-year-old female passenger in the car was killed. The 57-year-old driver of the Renault and three passengers in the minibus, aged between 32 and 38, sustained injuries.
Traffic police officers and an investigative task force are working at the scene, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
