The second power unit of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant (BelNPP) has been disconnected from the power grid to carry out diagnostic work on electrical equipment.

As the plant’s press service reported, the unit was disconnected by station personnel as planned in order to conduct the necessary diagnostic procedures.

“Radiation levels have not changed. Electricity supply to consumers has not been disrupted,” the press release said.

After the diagnostics and the required work are completed, the second power unit will be reconnected to the grid.
