A high-level military delegation from Myanmar led by Quartermaster General of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Zaw Myo Tin is on a visit to Belarus.
The delegation met with Belarusian Defence Minister Viktar Khrenin. The sides discussed “the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, including its economic aspects”, the Defence Ministry’s press service said.
Khrenin said the visit would contribute to the implementation of a cooperation roadmap with Myanmar for 2026–2028.
“The positive dynamics of our high-level cooperation meet the national interests of our states and confirm mutual trust between the armed forces of Myanmar and Belarus. The defence ministries of our countries successfully find points of contact, opening new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation”, Zaw Myo Tin said. He thanked Belarus for assistance provided to Myanmar after the earthquake.
The delegation also visited MAZ, where it familiarised itself with the products manufactured there. The visit programme also includes trips to a number of enterprises in Minsk and Vitsyebsk.
