MTZ will launch serial production of a tractor with a capacity of more than 500 horsepower in 2027. Prime Minister Alyaksandr Turchyn has tasked the company with creating production facilities this year to manufacture the BELARUS 5425 model.
The head of government visited MTZ today. According to the press service of the Council of Ministers, Turchyn was shown the full production cycle of the BELARUS 5425. It was noted that one tractor has already been assembled, and the plant is currently preparing to produce a second machine. By the end of May, it is planned to assemble five more tractors.
They are expected to undergo trial operation at farms across the country. Taking into account feedback, serial production of tractors of this model is planned to begin in 2027.
The prime minister also inspected the mechanical assembly production facility, where the flagship high-power model BELARUS 3522 is assembled. The task is to produce more than 90 units of this model per month starting in January.
As a reminder, the BELARUS 5425 tractor was presented this year at Belagro. It belongs to traction class 8 and has a 4K4 wheel configuration. The tractor is equipped with a 542 hp Weichai WP14T engine that meets the Stage IIIA environmental standard.
The tractor is fitted with a category 2 front hitch with a lifting capacity of 5,500 kg and a category 4 rear hitch with a lifting capacity of 12,000 kg, as well as a rear power take-off shaft with speeds of 1,000 and 1,400 rpm. A 900-liter fuel tank ensures continuous operation of the tractor for up to 10 hours.
