Belarusian customs officers prevented an attempt to import goods into Belarus without declaration.

A truck belonging to a Polish carrier was travelling from the Netherlands and crossing the border at the Kazlovichy checkpoint. During weight and dimension control, it was established that the actual weight of the cargo exceeded the declared weight in the documents by 2.2 tonnes, the State Customs Committee reports.

During the inspection, customs officers found more than 68 units of medical products that were not listed in the documents. Their value exceeds 3.3 million Belarusian roubles. In this way, the carrier allegedly sought to save nearly 76,000 Belarusian roubles in customs payments.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated. The carrier faces a fine of up to 30% of the value of the undeclared goods.
