The median wage in Belarus stood at 2,314.9 Belarusian roubles in May 2026. Compared with November last year, it increased by 233.2 Belarusian roubles. The figure refers to gross wages before personal income tax.

Compared with May 2025, the median wage increased by 300.9 Belarusian roubles.

The median wage is the value that divides all wages into two equal halves: one half of employees earn more than the median, while the other half earn less. It provides a more accurate picture of earnings than the average wage.

Belstat calculates the median wage only twice a year, for May and November. The data cover legal entities of all forms of ownership, except for legal entities without departmental subordination that had an average workforce of fewer than 50 employees in the previous year (excluding members of holdings). For comparison, the average nominal gross wage in May 2026 was 3,003.5 Belarusian roubles.
