Lukashenka Makes Appointments in His Administration and Two Districts

Aliaksandr Lukashenka made 17 appointments during Thursday’s personnel reshuffle. Belarus received new ambassadors to Libya and Afghanistan, a state media holding received a new head, while the Environment Ministry and two industrial enterprises also saw leadership changes.

Lukashenka also appointed Aliaksandr Ivanitski as head of the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Department for Nuclear and Radiation Safety.

In addition, two appointments were approved within the local government structure.

Yauhen Shkrabot was approved as chairman of the Petrykau District Executive Committee. Until now, he had served as first deputy chairman and head of the agriculture and food department of the Zhytkavichy District Executive Committee.

Andrei Klysheuski will head the Ashmyany District Executive Committee. Previously, he served as deputy chairman of the Ashmyany District Executive Committee, overseeing construction and housing and utilities issues.

Two more appointments were made within the Lukashenka administration. Yury Khamutouski was appointed head of the Regional Policy Directorate, while Hennadz Akstsilovich became head of the Main Directorate for Work With Citizens’ and Legal Entities’ Appeals.

The following appointments were also approved:

  • Aleh Sadouski as chairman of the State Control Committee for the Homiel Region,
  • Aliaksei Ihlikau as a member of the Hrodna Regional Executive Committee,
  • Nadzeya Yurashevich as deputy head of the Organizational and Analytical Department of the Standing Committee of the Union State,
  • Volha Vasileuskaya as deputy head of the Department of Social Policy and Information Support of the Standing Committee of the Union State.
