Lithuania’s State Border Guard Service has published a video capturing another scene of wildlife life recorded by surveillance cameras on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border.

The “incident” occurred in the Šalčininkai district. Two foxes apparently considered taking prey from an eagle, but the bird of prey showed its determination to defend it, forcing the foxes to retreat.

The border service noted that this is not always the case. At the end of January, a similar scene was recorded near the Nemunas River in the Lazdijai district. There, the eagle chose not to engage in a fight with a fox and abandoned its prey.
