The Ministry of Housing and Utilities has deployed 1,129 units of special and municipal equipment to streets and roads. They are engaged in eliminating the consequences of the snowfall.
A total of 351 sand and salt spreaders, 669 snowplows, and 109 machines for loading and removing snow, as well as other equipment, are operating on streets and roads. In addition, more than 3,300 housing and utilities workers are clearing snow and spreading sand-and-salt mixtures on streets, sidewalks, and courtyard areas.
Difficult weather conditions are expected to persist throughout the day. Snow and wet snow are forecast, with snow mixed with rain in the western part of the country. Light icing is possible in some areas, and icy conditions are expected on certain sections of roads.
