Belarusian Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn had to fly to St. Petersburg for important talks on a regular Belavia flight, an Embraer E195LR. The government business jet normally used for such working visits was occupied — the aircraft is at the upscale Turkish resort of Bodrum and will return to Minsk only in the evening.

Today, the Belarusian government’s press service reported on Turchyn’s working visit to Russia for talks with Gazprom Chairman of the Management Board Alexey Miller. The report was accompanied by video of a Belavia aircraft ready for departure. It is an Embraer E195LR with registration number EW-514PO.

At the same time, the Belarusian government’s business jet, registration number EW-301PJ, has been being used as a charter aircraft for flights to Turkish resorts for the second month in a row.

According to data from flightradar24.com, the business jet is scheduled to return to Minsk from Bodrum this evening.

It is not yet known who exactly the passengers are for whose sake the country’s prime minister may have to make do without the aircraft.
