The Council of Ministers has approved the first state program for 2026–2030. The National Register of Legal Acts today registered Resolution No. 699 of 2 December, titled “On the State Program ‘Balanced Labor Market’ for 2026–2030.” The document has not yet been published, and its contents remain unknown.
It is noteworthy that the state program was adopted before the approval of a higher-level document — the Program for Social and Economic Development of Belarus for 2026–2030. It is expected to be adopted at the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly on 18–19 December.
For 2021–2025, the Labor Ministry is implementing the program “Labor Market and Employment Promotion.” It stipulates that the unemployment rate among the working-age population should not exceed 4.2%. The actual figure is currently lower. Other target indicators include the share of citizens who find employment after seeking job-search assistance, a reduction in the number of workers employed in hazardous conditions, targeted training of employees, and more. A total of 188 million rubles was allocated for the implementation of the program.
