The Belarusian Council of Ministers has approved, by Resolution No. 328 of May 12, an intergovernmental agreement with Azerbaijan on the mutual recognition and exchange of driver’s licenses. The agreement was signed on January 16 this year in Baku.
The Foreign Ministry has been instructed to notify Azerbaijan of the completion of the domestic procedures necessary for the agreement to enter into force.
Under the document, the sides mutually recognize driver’s licenses issued by the competent authorities of the two states. The agreement also grants citizens of the two countries the right to exchange driver’s licenses without taking the corresponding theoretical and practical examinations after obtaining permanent residence permits.
