Lithuanian border guards intercepted four smugglers’ drones last week. The State Border Guard Service said today that the drones were brought down in the Lazdijai District.
While patrolling the border, officers heard the distinctive sound of drones and deployed two counter-drone systems.
Border guards soon found a crashed blue drone carrying cigarettes. A few minutes later, they located another white drone. They then discovered two more drones.
In total, 4,000 packs of NZ Gold and NZ Black cigarettes bearing Belarusian excise stamps were seized.
