Musician Aliaksei Sanchuk has left Belarus. He was evacuated together with his family. Andrej Stryzhak said so.

In 2020, Aliaksei Sanchuk was part of a group of drummers who took part in demonstrations and helped boost the morale of protesters. The security forces considered Sanchuk to be one of the organizers of the protests. He was detained and was eventually sentenced to six years in a penal colony.

He was recently released after serving his full prison term. However, the authorities continued to exert pressure on him in Belarus, including by placing him under preventive supervision.

The family turned to an evacuation team that has previously helped many persecuted Belarusians. Aliaksei and his relatives are now in a safe country.
