Rescuers today extinguished a fire at one of the institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on Surhanava Street in Minsk.
According to the Emergency Situations Ministry, rescuers arriving at the scene found heavy smoke on the basement level.
“During the inspection, it was established that property caught fire over an area of 1 square metre”, the ministry added.
The fire was extinguished. As a result of the fire alarm being triggered, 135 people were evacuated from the building. No one was injured.
