The outlet Bureau, with the assistance of the Cyber Partisans, reported that Dzmitry Baskau — a senator and businessman close to the “family” of Alyaksandr Lukashenka — has registered two more companies under the “Lepshy” (“Best”) brand.

The first, “Lepshy Bread,” was established in September 2023. The company produces bakery and confectionery products. Its assets include a production workshop, a café and two bakeries in Minsk shopping centers. Baskau owns 60% of the company. The remaining 40% is equally divided between two Belarusians: Artsiom Vasilieu and Pavel Turban. According to the Cyber Partisans, the latter worked at the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation and as a chef at the Dynama-Minsk hockey club.

The second entity, “Lepshy Equipment Center,” was registered in May 2025. In October of the same year, the flagship Lepshy hockey store opened at Minsk’s Olympic Arena, positioned as the largest hockey equipment center in Belarus. Baskau holds a controlling stake of 51%. He attended the opening in person, although state media presented him only as a member of the Council of the Republic, without mentioning his business ties.

The second owner of the Lepshy hockey store is Norbert Masalski, who holds a 15% stake. Masalski combines hockey equipment retail with work at the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.

In less than three months of operation, the store generated revenue of about 350,000 euros, with net profit for 2025 reaching nearly 21,500 euros.

Bureau also examined procurement tenders involving the Lepshy Equipment Center. According to the outlet, in less than three months of 2025 the company concluded contracts to supply hockey equipment to state organizations worth nearly 130,000 euros, rising to almost 200,000 euros by April 2026. Most contracts were awarded through single-source procurement.

In September 2022, Lukashenka’s administration announced the launch of bomber jackets under the Lepshy brand. The merchandise was handled by the company “Lepshy Brand.” Zerkalo reported that 80% of the company belongs to Baskau, while 20% is registered to Maryna Anfilava.

Earlier, Bureau also reported on other Baskau assets, including retail, a brewery and construction-related holdings.
