The hacktivist group Cyber Partisans has learned a new detail in the case of the disappearance of former Coordination Council spokesperson Anzhalika Melnikava.
According to the group, on March 24, 2025, a transfer was made from the account of the NGO Belarus Liberty via Melnikava’s personal account to the Lithuanian crypto exchange UAB ONLYCHAIN FINTECH LIMITED. The transfer could have been carried out by Melnikava herself or by someone with access to her accounts.
Cyber Partisans said that the investigation into Melnikava’s disappearance is ongoing, but that they cannot publish all the information they have.
The disappearance of Coordination Council spokesperson Anzhalika Melnikava was publicly announced on March 28. Her whereabouts remain unknown. According to the Polish outlet Polityka, Melnikava flew from London to Sri Lanka with her two daughters on February 28 and stayed there until March 7, after which they flew to Dubai. The Coordination Council previously said that on March 13, files related to the work of the Council were downloaded from Melnikava’s account.
In March, more than 150,000 US dollars were transferred to Melnikava’s personal account from the Białoruś Liberty foundation account in several transactions. As established by Cyber Partisans and The Insider, Melnikava travelled to Cuba and Sri Lanka with Belarusian security services officer Aliaksei Labieyeu.
